Sketch N Scrap - July 1st, 2022 Reveal - Sketch #252 by Lisa Hidy

Good morning my fellow scrapping friends -

It's time for the July 1st Sketch Reveal @ Sketch N Scrap.

Today I'm working with Sketch #252 by Lisa Hidy @ Sketch N Scrap

Another super fun sketch to work with by Lisa Hidy!  I will say that my layout came together pretty quickly (the best kind)! I absolutely love the simplicity of this particular sketch and I'll definitely be re-using this sketch again in the near future . . .and like all of Lisa's sketches, this one was quite easy for me to convert to my 8-1/2 x 11 needs.

This particular layout is of my Granddaughter Everly jumping in puddles . . . ever since she was a baby, she's had this infatuation with jumping in "muddy puddles". We'd like to thank Peppa Pig for that! Miss Everly is five and a half now, and that obsession with mud puddles is stronger than ever. Good thing we've invested in several pairs of rain boots!

Journaling reads -
Everly - we can all thank Peppa Pig for your love of muddy puddles. Whenever there’s a puddle around, we can all be sure that you’re going to ask to play in it.
Nana must say yes of course, every. single. time.

Stick It Down - April 2022 Single Page Sketch Reveal - Better Together

Hello my scrappy friends - Today is reveal day for me @  Stick It Down

So. . .  I'm super excited to share with you my layout this month using another sketch by the very talented Laura Rumble. I always start out a bit intimidated by the sketch, but ultimately wind up loving my layout and the sketch - this time was no exception!

This month I chose to scrap a picture of my son Garrett & my Granddaughter Everly. There was a time (the very early baby stages) when he wouldn't even hold her, but now that she's older he's all about spending time with her and doing things with her. . .she really does love her Uncle G.

I will say that I love the sketch, but this one was a bit hard for me to scale down to fit my 8-1/2 x 11 needs. I still love my layout, but hate that I had to cover up soooo much of the flower. Perhaps a possible re-do in the future???

Journaling reads -

When Miss Everly comes to visit you two are always up to some mischief & fun adventures together. Of course, today was no exception. - August 14th, 2021

Sketch N Scrap - April 1st, 2022 Reveal - Sketch # 246 by Lisa Hidy

Good morning my fellow scrapping friends -

It's time for the April 1st Sketch Reveal @ Sketch N Scrap.

Today I'm working with Sketch #246 by Lisa Hidy @ Sketch N Scrap

This particular sketch was super easy to work with (lovin' the multiple banners on this one). I know I always seem to say it, but . . . this  sketch really was super easy to convert to my 8-1/2 x 11 needs.

This layout is of my Granddaughter Everly at one of our favorite tourist attractions that we love to visit (we do try and go at least once a year). Even though Everly has gone with us 2 or 3 times in the past, she was much, much younger, and not really aware of what was going on around her. This year, she knew exactly what to do, and we're pretty sure that no red deer at the farm went hungry that day.

Journaling reads -

Rolling Hills Red Deer Farm / Catawissa, Pennsylvania

Even though you’ve been here before this was the first time that you understood what was happening.

You couldn’t feed the red deer fast enough!

*Note to self, buy more food next time!

Stick It Down - September 2021 Single Page Reveal - Everly

Hello my scrappy friends - Today is reveal day for me @  Stick It Down

So. . .  I'm super excited to share with you my layout this month using a sketch by Laura Rumble. The sketch required us to use an acrostic poem and I have to admit that in all of my scrapbooking years, I have never done this before. It definitely was super fun, and I'm pretty pleased with my layout!

I chose to scrap a layout of my granddaughter Miss Everly Claire, and used the letters in her first  name for my journaling.

E is for Electrifying, the way you charge the room

V is for Vivacious, you bring color to my life

E is for Exciting, you're so full of joy.

R is for Rose, more beautiful as it unfolds

L is for Laughter, nothing is as infectious as yours

Y is for Yes, we love you  every day. Every. Single. Day.

I hope you'll take on this sketch challenge - and as always, there's an Inlinkz link on the left hand side of the Stick It Down blog to upload your creations. Thanks for visiting.

Stick It Down - August 2021 Reveal - Playdate

Hello my scrappy friends - Today is reveal day @  Stick It Down

So. . .  I'm super excited to share with you my layout this month using a sketch by Laura Rumble.

For my layout, I used the Oh, Happy Day! Collection by Simple Stories. I'm almost at the point where I can say that I've successfully killed the kit, and the sketch was perfect in helping me move forward with that goal. All of the patterned paper was a piece a scrap paper remaining in the kit! Gotta love that right??  This sketch was super fun to work with, and pretty easy to convert to a smaller size! Pictures are of my grandchildren Everly and Harrison on a playdate with a friend in May of this year.

I hope you'll take on this sketch challenge - and as always, there's an Inlinkz link on the left hand side of the Stick It Down blog to upload your creations. Thanks for visiting.
