Sketch N Scrap - October 15th Reveal - Sketch #259 by Lori Stroup

Good morning my fellow scrapbooking friends -

It's time for the October 15th Sketch Reveal @ Sketch N Scrap.

Today I'm working with Sketch #259 by Lori Stroup @ Sketch N Scrap

I was super excited to work with this sketch by Lori this month!
I definitely was hoping to go with the fall theme but wound up using some pictures that I had printed out already. I did take some liberties
with the sketch as I wanted to use more than one picture. This sketch was super easy for me to convert to 8-1/2 x 11 and I've already started another layout using this very same sketch!

The layout is of my Grandbabies this past Summer while they were in South Carolina visiting their other Grandmother.

Journaling reads -
The “Family Beach Day” (with Mimi, Noralee & Santino) was cut short by a sudden rainstorm, which meant you had to take cover inside. What better place than a local ice cream shop? But not before getting drenched in the downpour.  Everyone was freezing you both were soaked, the ice cream was cold, and the AC was blasting (as to be expected in the summertime). You both just shivered and smiled the whole time!

Sketch N Scrap - October 1st Reveal - Sketch #258 by Lisa Hidy

Good morning my fellow scrapping friends -

It's time for the October 1st Sketch Reveal @ Sketch N Scrap.

Today I'm working with Sketch #258 by Lisa Hidy @ Sketch N Scrap

Another super fun sketch to work with by Lisa Hidy!  I will say that my layout came together pretty quickly (the best kind)! I absolutely love the simplicity of this particular sketch and I'll definitely be re-using this sketch again in the near future . . .and like all of Lisa's sketches, this one was quite easy for me to convert to my 8-1/2 x 11 needs.

This particular layout is of my Granddaughter Everly with a couple of her friends (Summer & Avery) after the final performance of the season.
I really hated that I had to miss this performance but was super grateful that someone was able to take a few pictures and send them to me.

Sketch N Scrap - September 15th Reveal - Sketch #257 by Heather Hall - Meet & Greet

Good morning my fellow scrapping friends -

After a bit of a hiatus, I'm back sharing with you my take on the

                         September 15th Sketch @ Sketch N Scrap.

Today I'm working with Sketch #257 by Heather Hall

What a super fun sketch to work with this month!! Lovin' the large circle on this one and the many opportunities it offers to break out the mixed media and get a bit messy! I don't have a lot of experience with stenciling, but I really love the way this turned out! I also have to admit that any sketch that is easily convertible to my 8-1/2 x 11 needs is a definite plus in my book.

This particular layout is of my Granddaughter Miss Everly Claire. Picture was taken just this past month at her Kindergarten Meet & Greet at the elementary school. I seriously cannot believe that she's old enough to attend school.

Sketch N Scrap - July 15th Reveal - Sketch #253 by Lori Stroup - Mr Sandman

Good morning my fellow scrapping friends -

It's time for the July 15th Sketch Reveal @ Sketch N Scrap.

Today I'm working with Sketch #253 by Lori Stroup @ Sketch N Scrap

Another super fun sketch to work with by Lori Stroup!  I absolutely love the simplicity of this particular sketch and how quickly my layout came together. . . something that I'm not really used to. And honestly, you've got to love a sketch that you can easily convert to 8-1/2 x 11, and this one was!

This particular layout is of my Grandson Harrison outside playing in the sand box. Funny thing is, he plays in it all the time now with his cars and dump trucks. . . but initially the kid had to wait almost a year before his mom managed to break down and go get the kid some sand.

Journaling reads -
After waiting for almost a year, your mom finally bought the sand to fill your sandbox! Lots of fun was had today boys and their toys, right?
The wait was definitely worth it!

Sketch N Scrap - July 1st, 2022 Reveal - Sketch #252 by Lisa Hidy

Good morning my fellow scrapping friends -

It's time for the July 1st Sketch Reveal @ Sketch N Scrap.

Today I'm working with Sketch #252 by Lisa Hidy @ Sketch N Scrap

Another super fun sketch to work with by Lisa Hidy!  I will say that my layout came together pretty quickly (the best kind)! I absolutely love the simplicity of this particular sketch and I'll definitely be re-using this sketch again in the near future . . .and like all of Lisa's sketches, this one was quite easy for me to convert to my 8-1/2 x 11 needs.

This particular layout is of my Granddaughter Everly jumping in puddles . . . ever since she was a baby, she's had this infatuation with jumping in "muddy puddles". We'd like to thank Peppa Pig for that! Miss Everly is five and a half now, and that obsession with mud puddles is stronger than ever. Good thing we've invested in several pairs of rain boots!

Journaling reads -
Everly - we can all thank Peppa Pig for your love of muddy puddles. Whenever there’s a puddle around, we can all be sure that you’re going to ask to play in it.

Sketch N Scrap - June 15th, 2022 Reveal - Sketch #251 by Lori Stroup

Good morning my fellow scrapping friends -

It's time for the June 15th Sketch Reveal @ Sketch N Scrap.

Today I'm working with Sketch #251 by Lori Stroup @ Sketch N Scrap

I absolutely loved working with this particular sketch! As you can see though, I did take some liberties with it! After mirroring the sketch and using 2 photos instead of one, it all came together pretty quickly. . .Lori's sketch was super easy for me to convert to my 8-1/2 x 11 needs, and I already have a couple more layouts planned with this particular sketch.

This layout is of my beautiful granddaughter - Everly. She lost her first tooth the night before and the Tooth Fairy brought her $5 dollars. Her mom took her to Five Below the next day after school to pick out a toy - and since she's all into Minecraft right now that's what she picked out!

Journaling reads -
Just like the title says – today only happens once, and in your case, this is soooo true. Yesterday you lost your very first tooth and today you spent your very first “Tooth Fairy Loot”! The Tooth Fairy left you $5 for your tooth – not too shabby if you ask me! Then after school your mom took you to Five Below and let you pick out your very own toy and let you pay for it all by yourself! Your toy choice?? A Minecraft Mini Figurine – Attacking Alex!

Stick It Down - June 2022 Single Page Sketch Reveal - Like Father Like Son

Hello! Hello! Happy Monday my fellow scrappy friends -
what's everyone up to on this fine day??

For me, it's a typical workday. . . and my final reveal day as a
member of the Stick It Down Team!

So, with that being said - I'm super excited to share with you my layout this month using another sketch by the very talented Laura Rumble.

This month I chose to scrap a picture of my son Garrett and his dad from one of our recent "pick up" days. . . now that Garrett is over 18, I don't have to meet his dad "halfway" any longer for visitation drop offs. . . If Garrett goes to North Carolina, then his dad comes the whole way to get him. I usually will help out on the return trip and meet them at the Pennsylvania / Maryland Rest Area. Three hours there, and three hours back. This past trip was awful, awful, awful. . . the snow and sleet were a nightmare! I white knuckled it the whole way there and back, and my windshield wipers even tried to freeze up on me . . .but it was all worth it in the end - Garrett was home safe and sound!
I really do love the sketch this month!! When I saw the triangles, I went to work immediately creating a cut file that would work for my 8-1/2 x 11 needs. *Please don't look too hard or you'll see all of the uneven triangles & spacing - but hey, this girl is still learning! Wanna know what the best part of this layout is - I used up a bunch of patterned paper scraps! Woot! Woot!

Journaling reads -
Richie & Garrett - Obligatory picture taken at every pickup.

I hope you'll take on this sketch challenge - and as always, there's an Inlinkz link on the left-hand side of the Stick It Down blog to upload your creations to. Thanks for visiting.

Sketch N Scrap - June 1st, 2022 Reveal - Sketch #250 by Lisa Hidy

Good morning my fellow scrapping friends -

It's time for the June 1st Sketch Reveal @ Sketch N Scrap.

Today I'm working with Sketch #250 by Lisa Hidy @ Sketch N Scrap

This particular sketch was super fun to work with, and my layout came together pretty quickly. . . I absolutely loved the look of the huge banner, and the multiple patterned paper requirements. I'll definitely be re-using this sketch again. . .  . . .and like all of Lisa's sketches, this one was super easy for me to convert to my 8-1/2 x 11 needs.

This layout is of my beautiful grandbabies - Everly and Harrison. They tend to sleep in when they're vising over the summer, so I like to peek in on them while they're sleeping before I head out to work each morning. . .
I do so love these two - to the moon and back

Journaling reads -
Taking a quick peek at these beautiful babies before I head off to work!
My heart is completely full when they’re here visiting.

Sketch N Scrap - May 15th, 2022 Reveal - Sketch #249 by Heather Hall

Good morning my fellow scrapping friends -

We're halfway through the month-long "10th" Birthday Bash Celebration @ Sketch N Scrap!
Hope you've been playing along with us!

Today is May 15th, and that means it's Sketch Reveal Day
 @ Sketch N Scrap.

Today I'm working with Sketch #249 by Heather Hall @ Sketch N Scrap

I was a bit leery about this sketch in the beginning as I'm not very good at making banners at all! Once I convinced myself that the sketch was just a starting point and did not need to be followed to the tee, I was able to come up with a game plan! I think at that point the most difficult thing was trying to determine if I was going to go with the patterned paper or the solid color cardstock. . . as you can see, I went with the patterned paper!  I'm personally lovin' having grandbabies as I get to scrap some super cute layouts! And this one is definitely that!
Thanks, Heather, for the inspirational sketch this month.

This layout is of my Granddaughter Everly at a recent Easter Egg Hunt that the apartment complex (where she lives) hosted for the children. I've got numerous pictures from that day, but this particular one needed to be scrapped alone, and worked perfectly with the sketch! The picture just makes me smile. . . she was soooo happy that day and I can only imagine what she must be telling the Easter Bunny - I'm sure it had something to do with candy, as the girl loves her some candy.

Journaling reads -

Seriously though, who doesn’t love the Easter Bunny?? Everly making sure he knows just how much she loves him & how much she’ll enjoy all the “candy” that he’ll be bringing her on Easter Sunday!
