October Sketch @ Let's Get Sketchy

I've scrapped more layouts this year than I have in the past five years put together!! Seriously, I'm a hard core collector of supplies (the word hoarder comes to mind), but rarely find the time nor motivation to get anything scrapped!!

Welcome grandbabies, sketches, and scraplifting . . .

I found this sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy and thought I'd give it a try . . .

. . . and here's my take on the sketch - of course I altered the sketch to fit my 8-1/2 x 11 needs, and used two pictures instead of one. * I couldn't NOT use them both. . . .

Pictures are of Miss Everly sleeping. We made a trip to Greenville, South Carolina this Summer to see Jackie and the babies, and these pictures were taken right before I was about to wake her up and surprise her. July 10th, 2020.

Thanks for Visiting!

Scraplifting Tracy McLennon

Let's just say I'm a super huge fan of Tracy McLennon's work . . and when I received my October My Creative Scrapbook Kit, I knew I was going to straight up lift this layout!! I was super excited too, as I love, love, love her layout!.

Well first off, it's always a challenge for me to lift 12x12 layouts as I scrap 8-1/2 x 11, but imagine my surprise when I went looking for all those little leaves . . .and they weren't in the kit!!

Kudos to YOU Tracy for fussy cutting all those leaves from one of the enclosed papers!!

I do hope I managed to do your layout justice! Thanks for the inspiration!!

My take on Tracy's layout . . . .

This months sketch was generously donated by the very talented Lisa Hidy and I thought I'd give it a go . .

.I had some sizing issues as I scrap 8-1/2 x 11, but I think I mangaed to stay pretty true to the sketch.

Sketch N Scrap - Layout Sketch # 211 By Heather Hall / #summer

 Good Morning Ladies -

It's that time again . . . .time for another monthly reveal @ Sketch N Scrap

Today I'm sharing with you my take on Sketch #211 by the very talented Heather Hall at Sketch N Scrap

I created this layout of my beautiful granddaughter Miss Everly Claire when she was just 21 months old - hard to believe she's going to be four this coming December. Pictures were taken during the annual Collins' Beach Week in September 2018 @ Oak Island, North Carolina.

I'm an 8-1/2 x 11 scrapper, so I adjusted the sketch to fit my needs and used Pebbles Sun & Fun papers for this layout! I have to admit, it's a bit busier than I usually like, but come on, the papers are absolutely adorable, and what better way to use them up, than on adorable grandbaby pictures!

Products used -
Pebbles Sun & Fun - 736887 Strips
Pebbles Sun & Fun - 736884 Splash Splash
Pebbles Sun & Fun - 736881 Ball Toss (branding strip)
Enamel Dots & Elle's Studio Embellishments
Bazzill White Cardstock
Thickers - Sunshine Puffy Phrase Stickers
Zip 0.5 mm Pure Black Marker
Oatmeal & Raisins Font

Thanks for visiting!

This is the layout by Anita Bownds that I chose to lift - Oh Yeah Paradise

And this is my 8-1/2 x 11 lift of the above layout.

. . . and this is my 8-1/2 x 11 take on the sketch above. The layout is  of my granddaughter, Miss Everly Claire practicing a bit of patience while trying to get the parakeets to eat from her seed sticks @ Clyde Peeling's Reptiland this Summer.
