The Studio Challenges - Selfie Challenge

Welcome Scrappers & Happy Sunday! I hope each of you are enjoying the remainder of your weekend. It's pretty cold here today, and my goal is to stay warm, scrapbook a bit, and drink a cup (or two) of hot chocolate as I try and enjoy the remainder of my weekend before it's back to work tomorrow. . .

Today is my very first challenge @ The Studio Challenges blog!

I have to admit that the "Selfie Challenge" was a bit hard for me as I really don't care much for having my picture taken. I will say that over time I've realized that my face needs to be "in front of" the camera instead of behind it. . . .so here's my take on the "selfie challenge".

*also I must mention that I loved Sketch #219 by Stacy Daubenberger @ Sketch N Scrap that I had to use it again . . .

Thanks for visiting & happy scrapping!

Sketch N Scrap February 15th Reveal Using Sketch # 219 By Stacy Daubenberger

Good Morning Blog Followers & Visitors!
Today is Reveal Day at Sketch N Scrap

and I'll be sharing with you my take on Sketch # 219 by the
very talented sketch designer Stacy Daubenberger.

Since I scrap 8-1/2 x 11, this sketch was pretty easy to work with - there wasn't
a whole lot of adjustments needed. I have to admit, I was pretty excited to work with this sketch when I first saw it!  Hope you like my take on the sketch.

Journaling reads: We all know that cheesy smiles are just  a phase that every
child goes through. When the camera gets pulled out, you  are no exception. Regardless of how cheesy that smile is, it’s still absolutely beautiful to me. Keep smiling Sunshine!

Let's Get Sketchy - February 2021 Reveal - Home For Christmas

Good Morning Fellow Scrappers!

Today is reveal day at Let's Get Sketchy and I'm super excited to show you what I've created with this months Sketch By Brenshevia!!

Please make sure to take a peek at all of the other Design Team Members and their creations!

As most of you know already, I'm an 8-1/2 x 11 scrapper, so the fun for me is taking the sketch and altering it a bit to make it fit my needs, while staying true to the original sketch . . . I'm totally lovin' this sketch this month, and can assure you I'll be using it again in the future!

The layout is of my son Garrett titled "Home For Christmas" - When I moved to Pennsylvania over 9 years ago (as I remarried) one of the conditions was that I would give up every Christmas.
So, every Christmas Garrett would spend in North Carolina with his dad - even after he turned 18 (his choice at that point ) - until this year with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Design Team Reveal @ Megans PaperCraft Blog

Good Morning Ladies - Happy February!!

Today I am super excited to share with you my very first layout as a
Design Team Member for the Megans Papercraft Blog
As you all know, I absolutely love sketches and was super excited to work
with this sketch!! There are so many elements involved and I really wanted to do it
justice - even though I have to admit that I was a bit intimidated at first.

8-1/2 x 11 Layout of my son - Garrett who rarely lets me take his pictures anymore . . .but when you get this much snow, you kinda have too! Cuz, mom says so!

Journaling reads: When you get 2+ feet of snow – it must be documented! 2020 hasn’t been the greatest and everyone is jokingly calling the storm SNOVID – the 2020 Season Finale. . . while I’m just happy to get pictures to document this record breaking snowfall of 24.7” (most snow from a single storm). The previous record was 24.1” on January 12-13th of 1964.

Sketch # 455 Created by Nadine Carlier for Sketches in Thyme

Welcome to February 2021!!

So....it's a new month of Sketches @ Sketches in Thyme, and I get to start the month off with Sketch #455 created by the very talented Nadine Carlier.

And here is my take on the sketch - this layout is done in 8-1/2 x 11 format. Adorable pictures of my granddaughter Everly, and my son Garrett. These two share an incredible bond with one another. Crazy thing is, when she was first born, he wouldn't come near her, much less hold her . . .now he absolutely adores her! The feeling is mutual of course. Everly loves her some Uncle Garrett.
