Stick It Down - July 2021 Reveal

Hello my scrappy friends - Today I have a bit of exciting news to share. . . .

I was asked to join the Stick It Down Single Page Layout Team - as you all know, I absolutely love sketches, and this challenge blog is right up my alley!
So. . .  I'm super excited to share with you my first layout using a sketch by Laura Rumble.

For my layout, I used pictures of my Granddaughter Miss Everly Claire, and our Chiweenie Rocky, but most everyone calls him Rocky Roo. I used the DCWV Playful Pets Dog Collection. As you all know, I scrap 8-1/2 x 11 and this sketch

Journaling:You have two dogs of your own  Darlah and Obie and they usually tag along with you when you come to visit us. Once you get here though, you’re all about Rocky!  Everyone loves Rocky Roo and the feelings are quite mutual.

I hope you'll take on this sketch challenge - and as always, there's an Inlinkz link on the left hand side of the Stick It Down blog to upload your creations. Thanks for visiting.

Sketch N Scrap - July 1st Layout Sketch Reveal - #228 by Stacy Daubenberger

Good Morning my fellow scrapping friends!

Can you believe it's July already?? Seriously, what on Earth happened to June??

This month I chose the July 1st Reveal date @ Sketch N Scrap and I'm super excited to share with you the layout that I created!

This month I'm working with Sketch #228 by Stacy Daubenberger @ Sketch N Scrap

This layout was super fun & easy to work with, and my whole layout came together rather quickly once I decided to move forward with the "inked background". I'm pretty happy with the end results and will probably try it again soon! I must also mention that since I am an 8-1/2 x 11 scrapper, this sketch was  super easy to resize to fit my needs!  Super plus there for sure. I used all Bella Blvd - Secrets of the Sea (boy line)  products on this layout, as well as bazzill cardstock and Tim Holtz Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink. Pictures are of my Grandson Harrison in the backyard of his Gpa's house the day before he handed over the keys to the new buyer. . .

Let's Get Sketchy - June 2021 Reveal - Life In Lockdown

Hello. Hello. Hello.
Welcome to June my Scrappy Friends!

Today is reveal day at Let's Get Sketchy and I'm super excited to show you what I've created with this months Sketch By Brenshevia!!

This layout, titled Life in Lockdown is of my granddaughter Everly at the beginning of this year. Everly attends preschool and is in PreK3 (three year old class), Covid-19 affected her and every other age group out there. This layout is of her and her classmates using ZOOM to interact with one another right after the holidays, as they quarantined the whole school briefly before allowing the children to return. I kinda made the sketch my own, as the triangles of the sketch are for an even sized page, and clearly 8-1/2 x 11 is not. . .Hope you like my interpretation using a smaller size.

I hope you give this sketch a try too!! Be sure to link it up on our

Thank you again for visiting!  Please feel free to give me a follow.

Sketch N Scrap - June 1st Layout Sketch Reveal - #226 by Heather Hall

Good Morning my fellow scrapping friends!

Can you believe it's June already??

This month I chose the June 1st Reveal date @ Sketch N Scrap and I'm super excited to share with you the layout that I created!

This month I'm working with Sketch #226 by Heather Hall @ Sketch N Scrap

I knew that I really, really wanted to use the spiderweb cut file, so I went on a mission to find a picture that I could make work. I was going for the typical "scary" Halloween layout but all the pictures I found were "cutesy", so hey, I made it work. The paper line I chose to use was Simple Stories - Happy Haunting and it defintely helped me pull off "cutesy" with lots of pinks and flowers. Needless to say I'm thrilled with my layout! Hope you like it too!

Journaling readsWhat an absolutely perfect holiday for the little girl that loves her candy . . . thank goodness she likes to share too!

Sketch N Scrap is Turning Nine - Let's Celebrate / Challenge #8

Good Morning my fellow scrapping friends!

As you know we're having a Birthday Celebration at Sketch N Scrap  and it's my turn to  post the Birthday Challenge! How exciting right?? I do hope that you're playing along with us @ and that you'll take on this challenge too.

My Challenge to YOU  . . . if you choose to accept it is to use Sketch #99 created by Mandy Reedyk to create a layout. . . .you can see what others have created with this sketch if you take a peek here . . .

. . . But wait, there's a twist. . . . what's a Birthday without a Birthday Themed Layout?? Am I right??  So yeah, your challenge is to use the above Sketch and create a Birthday Themed Layout.

Here's my take on the Sketch. .. the Layout is of my Granddaughter Everly on her Fourth Birthday in December.  It was the first one since she's been born that I wasn't able to celebrate with her. Her mom went out of her way to make it a special day for her, and you can clearly see the excitement on her face. You'll also notice that I flipped the sketch horizontally. . .(not part of the twist, but a fun addition none the less).
